Mobile Phone Chess Clock

Are you searching for analog or digital chess clock? Tired of waiting while playing with your deep thinking brother? Now, you can have it for free. You can also train yourself according to certain timing.

Previously I have posted on Chess Clock for Free basically for Windows. This want is great, but you will need to your laptop bring everywhere you want to play chess.

These applications works with all cell phones with java. Just download the file to your PC, unzip and send to .jar file to your phone using bluetooth, infrared or USB cable.

1 - MobileChessClock

MobileChessClock is released in 2005 by Tomas Hubalek [Hubalek]. MobileChessClock can set different time for two different players. Only button number 6 is used to switch between players, but the sound when switching mimics real sound when pressing the real analog chess clock! I prefer MobileChessClock than ChessGoClock. Free!

2 - ChessGoClock

ChessGoClock is released by rainer_blind@gmx.de in February 2006. The difference with MobileChessClock is ChessGoClock has Fisher timer set up and it is easier to set up time. Time can only be set up once, same for both players, however, switching players in this application is much better, where one player use the left side button, while the other player use the right side button. But, no sound! Also free.

Yahoo! just introduced the new Yahoo! Messenger 10 BETA with new features that could make social networking better. This new 10th edition includes better 1:1 video conference quality, Y! Updates of your contact list and new icons in the instant messaging windows.

Using your webcam, you can now make a high quality full screen video calling with better voices.

You can also view Y! Updates of your contact list, from their status message, what they linked to, connected to, and also get status from twitter and blog updates. Yahoo! Messenger tries to compete with other social networking like facebook and twitter.

Dropbox - The simplest, most elegant file-sync tool ever

Chess Clock for Free

Chess is a game played by two players, who we'll call White and Black. It is played on a board of 64 squares. Each square can be empty or occupied by a piece. The initial position of the game consists of 16 white pieces and 16 black pieces, arranged as shown in the following diagram.

Fuser - Manage your E-mail and Social Networking from One Inbox

Sometimes you feel that you have to many accounts on the internet, and you become confused and unstuck in time (Vonnegut 1).

Fuser, is a site that can manage all your e-mails together with your social networking comments, wall posts and messages in an inbox. For example, you get e-mail from gmail and Yahoo! Mail, as well as someone just post something on the wall of your facebook, you'll get all the message inside the inbox in fuser.

For social networking, only three services are available - Facebook and MySpace. But, you can post on your friends wall to facebook and write comments on your friends on MySpace from fuser. You can also update you twitter message from there.

Note that all messages you delete from fuser would also be deleted in your original account. This is a good syncronization. All in all, you may try using fuser, and if you dislike fuser, you may leave comment here to tell others about its limitation.

For those who haven't use it yet, Lingoes is a very smart computer dictionary that you can find the meaning of a word by mouse-overing your mouse + shift/Ctrl to the words that you doubt of the meaning. You can simply press shift (or as configured) at the word, example: allegation

You no longer need to open a browser, checking meaning through handphone dictionary, or using the million pages (hyperbolic) of dictionary.

All you have to do is just download the file. You can also install additional Oxford Dictionary and Longman and many dicitionaries into Lingoes. It is the same as your thick dictionary!

Typing Race - Check and enhance your typing speed!

I was recommended by my uncle and I recommend to you to try these racing tracks to check and enhance your typing speed.

It is very fun!

You have to type a quote from a song given or from book etc -- can enhance your lyric memorization as well -- and you're speed will be calculated. It will be calculated in words per minute with account on accuracy.

What interesting in this site is when you start racing, you can race with someone who appears within seconds when you start (looks screenshot). You may compare your speed with them. Try 'em. Very fun and interesting!

myLot - Discuss anything while earning money

There are many ways to make money online, and some people still wonder how to gain money online. MyLot is an online discussion board where you will be paid for participating in the discussion. It is about anything, everything, that you wonders about, you can ask in the board. You can start your own threads, asking questions or explanation, reply to those already existing, or comments to others problems. From either way, you'll gain money.

I heard this from my friend, and when I participate in the discussion board, I found that money is not my priority in the discussion but to share knowledge and gain something from it.

This opportunity is great for those who have lot of idle or ample times which can be used to share knowledge.

For those who just taking SPM, or have a long holiday, it's also best for you because you can start writing in English and improve your language.

Some of the tips from me is:

-Start new discussions, don't only reply to others
-Don't post a short message like one line message, try to write at least 2 or 3 lines
-Be as descriptive as possible (this is mentioned in every discussion in myLot)
-Avoid grammatical errors and abbreviations
-Don't skip the tag step (you'll asked to tag your post when posting)
-Be polite, great others with names
-Post quality stuff

You'll gain money from your post (maybe only 0.01 USD for a post), and if it is rated positive, you'll gain higher (maybe doubled), and if you are marked as best response, you'll gain even higher (maybe 5 times more). Dropbox - Syncs, back-up, share files easily!

Seriously I don't like transferring files through ym with its "Send File" built in ym. In slow connection, transferring could not occur, or sometimes, one of the user may see
it progressing but another person see it already cancelled (in conclusion, very confusing).

Dropbox is a freeware application and web service Dropbox that can synchronize between internet and computer. A Dropbox folder will be created on a folder on the hard drive after the installation. Any file you put inside that folder will automatically be synced and monitored for changes, and each time a change is saved, it backs up and syncs the file again. Even better, Dropbox does revision history, so if you accidentally saved a file and wanted to revert to an old version or deleted a file, Dropbox can recover any previous version.

After I renamed the Anas' Final to Anas' Final Test, the dropbox in the internet also changed:

Dropbox has helped me a lot through transferring the file, and uploading in a slow bandwidth internet connection, yet I recommend all of you to try (Why don't you give it a try!). To share I only need to copy public link from the folder in my computer and paste it wherever I want where people can download files directly - example - OUAC & non-OUAC research.doc. The only thing that I suggest the Dropbox to modify is having a widget like in Box.net, then it will be perfectly awesome.

Who Moved My Cheese?

1. Right until now, I think this is one of the best books I have ever read. "Who moved my cheese?" by Spenser Johnson. It is a inspirational book. The book is interesting and meaningful, but costly.

2. Abstract:

The story shows what happens to the characters one day when the Cheese has been moved to another part of the Maze. Some are prepared for it and do well. Others are surprised by it and have a difficult time. As you watch what they do, you may see a part of yourself.

a. Change happen:

Sometimes, our cheese will be moved, things will not be the same everyday. You will find life is hard and you become stuck. You don't know what to do, but you do the same thing.

b. Anticipate change

You have to prepare for the change. The easiest way is to accept whatever happen to us with open-heart. You will notice that you will face many hard phases in life.

c. Adapt to change quickly

Whenever your cheese have been moved, try to act on it quickly. Think first then act accordingly. The problem is many of us fail to plan, and fail to act. Though, many of us plan but don't walk the talk. This is the same as staying without the cheese! We don't know what to do, then do the same thing everyday.

d. Change

Change! Not just stay there with the problem. Act!

e. Enjoy change

After you change, enjoy it. Sometimes, when you face hardness, you'll only have choices that still seem bad to you. If you don't make a decision, you on the first level, not making any change, staying without the cheese. But, when we make the decision on the choices, even it is bitter or sour, enjoy it, inject happiness into it. Love whatever you do!!

Hacking tools

My system is almost ready for the JPA. Still in preparation. Yesterday, many asked me about how to get all information. Read the article below. It is a real story.

One story from my father, he said, if he want to make the examination paper for university, he must take into caution for several things. First, don't ever do that on a computer which is online because student can hack the data - already happened... Also, don't use the computer can be used by student even you will delete it...

Nowadays, you have to be caution when using internet, everyone can spy you... And the latest story is (also from my father) , people got into someone email that you know and said he was oversea and his passport was misplaced. He really needs money now and needs you to pay to his account. He use your friend's account to email you. Beware...
